How the Digital SAT works
The Digital SAT has two sections, Reading and Writing, and Math. Each section has two modules. Your score on the first module decides whether the second module is harder or easier. That's why the format of a practice test matters as much as the questions.
- Reading and Writing: 54 questions in two 32-minute modules, each with a short passage.
- Math: 44 questions in two 35-minute modules, calculator allowed throughout.
- Score: 200–800 per section, 400–1600 total.
What's tested
- Reading and Writing: Craft and Structure, Information and Ideas, Standard English Conventions, Expression of Ideas.
- Math: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry and Trigonometry.
